Response to Patrick: Benelli M1 |

I recently had an opportunity to shoot the M1 Super 90 and
the Beretta 391 at the skeet/trap range. In a side by side
comparison, shooting the same load in each, the felt recoil
of these guns was quite different. The 391 had a 30-inch
barrell and the M1 had a 26-inch. The M1 had a harder
recoil that spread out over a longer time frame making
second shot target acquisition more delayed. The 391 had a
reduced felt recoil that was crisper and shorter and made
second shot target acquisition quicker than the M1. The M1
handled very well at all targets, but was noticeably slower
when following up with quick second shots. Both guns
fuctioned flawlessly with 1 oz. loads.
